       Reception Hours : Weekday, 9:00-12:00 and 13:00-16:00. However, Application Reception desk,

       Permission Stamp Reception desk, Re-entry Permission Reception desk are open 9:00 - 16:00.

     ・番号札機で番号札を受取り、番号が呼ばれるまで待ちます。呼ばれたその窓口で手続きを行って
　　 下さい。
       本人が再入国許可申請を行った場合は、よほどの問題が無いかぎり当日受取れます。在留に関す
       る申請手続きは約１ヶ月程かかります。
       Get a Number ticket and wait at the waiting area. When your number is called from counter,
       you go to the counter which your number called.
　     When himself/herself makes a Re-entry permit application, if he/shi dose not have much
       problem, it can receive on the day. The application procedure about the Residents takes about
       one month.

bullet007 在留期間の更新 Extension of Period of Stay: 'zairyukikan no koshin'

　　在留期間の更新を希望する場合には、現在の在留期間が満了する日までに在留期間の更新の許可を
　　受けて、期間を延長しなければならない。

　 　If you should desire to remain in Japan under the same visa status beyond your authorized
　　period of stay, you must apply for and obtain an extension of your period of stay at an Immigration
　　office on later than expiration date of your authorized period of stay.

bullet008 在留資格の変更 Change of Status of Residence: 'zairyushikaku no henkou'

　　現在許可されている残留資格活動をやめて、新たに別の活動を行おうとするときは、残留資格の変更　　許可をうけなければならない。

　　If you should desire to change your "present activity granted by visa" and want to start new
　　activities not authorized under your present status of residence. You must obtain the Change of
　　Status of Residence.

　 278 必要な書類 Documents required (Application fee is 4000yen)

　　 ten 在留資格変更許可申請書
　　　　Application for permission for a chage of status of residence. 'zairyushikaku henko kyoka 　　　　shinseisho'
　　ten 外国人登録証明書 Certificate of Alien Registration: 'gaikokujin tohroku shomeisho'
　　ten パスポート Passport
　　ten 申請理由書 Documents describing the reason for the application: 'shinsei riyu sho'
　　ten 新たな活動の具体的な内容を証明するもの。（例えば、入学許可書、招聘状、雇用契約書）

　　References that certify the specific contents of the activity that the applicant will engage in
　　( for example, a certificate of admission to a school, an invitation letter, an employmentcontract,
　　　etc)

　　・在留資格変更許可申請書（在留目的に応じて使用する申請書が異なります）


bullet009　資格外活動　Permission to engage in an activity other than that previously
　　　　　　　　　　authorized 'shikaku gai katsudo'

　　現に有する在留資格以外の収入を伴う活動をする場合は資格外活動の許可を受けなければならない。
　　１週間に２８時間の就労時間が最大時間です。

　 　Foreign nationals who wants to engage in an activity involving the managemant of a business or 　　remuneration other than that authorized under their assigned residence status must apply for
　　and obtain permission to do so in advance. 28 hours per week is the maximum permitted working 　　hours.

　 278 必要な書類 Documents required (Application fee is free)

　　 ten資格外活動許可申請書
　　　　Application for extension of period of stay: 'shikakugai katudo kyoka shinsei'.
　　ten 外国人登録証明書 Certificate of Alien Registration: 'gaikokujin toroku shomeisho'
　　ten 旅券 Passport
　　ten 申請者の身分を明らかにする物 Documents clearly identifying the application's status.
　　ten資格外活動の具体的な内容を証明するもの。（例えば、雇用契約書など）
　　　Refernces that certify the specific contents of the activity that the applicant will engage in
　　　( for example, a certificate of admission to a school, an invitation letter, an employment
　　　contract, etc)


bullet010 再入国の許可 Re-entry Permit : 'sai nyukoku kyoka'

　在留期間内に日本国外に一時的に出国し、再び日本に入国して在留しようとする場合は、再入国の許
　可の申請が必要です。再入国許可には、１回限りのものと、１年間有効の数次の物があります。

　 When you leave Japan for your home country or other country and re-enter Japan during your
　authorized period of stay, you must apply for permit for re-entry. A re-entery permit have two 　types, one is only valid for single re-entery, the other is multiple re-entry permit valid for one
　year can be obtained.

　 278 必要な書類 Documents required
　　　　(Application fee is 3000yen/for single, 6000yen/for multiple)

　　 ten 再入国許可申請書 Application for re-entry permit: 'sainyukoku kyoka shinseisho'
　　 ten 外国人登録証明書 Certificate of Alien Registration: 'gaikokujin tohroku shomeisho'
　　 ten パスポート Passport
　　 ten 申請者の身分を明らかにする物 Documents clearly identifying the application's status.


bullet011 家族の同行、呼び寄せ Accompanying Family Mambers

　　在留資格が「教授」「研究」「文化活動」などを有して在留する者の扶養を受ける配偶者又は子は、「家
　　族滞在」の在留資格をもって日本に在留することができる。３ヶ月を越える長期滞在予定者が誤って在　　留資格を「短期滞在」を受けて入国してしまった場合には、日本国内での在留資格は、きわめて困難
　　です。

kazoku

　　Family members of a person residing in Japan under the visa status of "Professor" "Researcher" or "Cultural activities" are eligible to accompany the person under the "Residence Status of Dependent". Family members who will stay in Japan for less then 90days are eligible to apply for the more-easily-obtainable "Temporary visitor" status. However, if there is a possibility that your dependent's stay
will extend beyond 90 days, he or she should initially apply for

"Dependent" status. Dependents entering Japan under the status of "Temporary Visitor" may not be able to change their visa status without leaving Japan.


再入国許可なしで日本を出国する場合や、帰化または日本国籍を取得した場合、外国人登録者が死亡した場合は、外国人登録証を返納しなければなりません。

You must return your Registraton card if you are leaving Japan without re-entry permit or when you have obtained Japanese citizenship. In the event of your death, your dependents should return the Registration card.
